Railero.com does not collect, store, or process any personally identifiable information (PII) directly. We do not operate user accounts, require registration, or capture names, email addresses, or payment details on our own servers.

When you visit Railero.com, your browser may transmit standard technical information to our hosting provider (such as your IP address, browser type, and referring URL). This data is handled by our infrastructure provider and is not linked to your identity.

With your consent, we use Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use Railero. Clarity provides heatmaps and session replays (recordings of how pages are scrolled and clicked, including mouse movement); Google Analytics gives us aggregated statistics such as which route guides are viewed most and how visitors move through the site. Both load only if you opt in through our cookie banner, and only on the live www.railero.com site.

We use this to improve the site, not to identify you, and we do not sell or share the data. Clarity is a Microsoft service and Google Analytics is a Google service, each governed by its own privacy terms; they set their own cookies once you have opted in. You can decline analytics in the cookie banner, and change or withdraw your choice at any time using Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.

Analytics cookies are off by default. Until you opt in, the only cookie Railero sets is the consent cookie below. You can change your choice at any time: Cookie settings.

• Consent cookie

  A single first-party cookie (railero-consent) remembers your choice so we do not ask on every visit. It stores only your preference and lasts about a year. Use Cookie settings to change it, or clear it in your browser to be asked again.

• Analytics cookies

  Set only if you opt in to analytics. Google Analytics sets _ga and _ga_<ID> to recognise returning browsers and sessions; Microsoft Clarity sets _clck and _clsk to link page views into a session for its heatmaps and replays. Decline analytics and none are set. If you withdraw consent, analytics stops, the page reloads once and these cookies are deleted from railero.com. Clarity may also set cookies on Microsoft's own domains (such as clarity.ms), which Railero cannot delete; you can remove them in your browser settings.

• Booking partner cookies

  Railero does not set affiliate or advertising cookies. If you follow a booking link to a partner such as Booking.com, Omio or Trainline, that site may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy. Those cookies belong to the partner's domain and are not controlled by Railero's cookie settings.

Railero.com contains links to third-party booking platforms including Booking.com, Omio, and Trainline. When you follow one of these links, you leave Railero.com and are subject to the privacy policy of the destination site.

Where an affiliate arrangement applies, a partner may use its own cookies or link parameters on its website to attribute a qualifying booking to Railero. This happens on the partner's site, under its privacy policy, and does not give Railero any of your personal or payment information.

We only recommend partners we consider reputable. Affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial content - route guides, cabin comparisons, and hotel selections reflect our honest assessment.

Because Railero.com does not hold personal data about you, there is typically nothing for us to access, correct, or delete on your behalf. If you have questions about data held by our third-party partners, please contact those services directly.
